As a summer baby, this time of the year is when I feel my best, but I will have to admit getting dressed does become a bit of a challenge. In the cooler months, I rely on layering to create interesting looks, but in the summer, this method simply doesn’t fly. The goal is to stay fresh, while still looking chic, but how does one do that, you might ask? Well, my friends, I think I may have cracked the stylish summer code. And the answer is….ACCESSORIES. Yes, everything boils down to the small details that make an outfit, especially in the summer. The first style element I will address is:
Sunnies
A stylish pair of sunglasses can take you far. Classic silhouettes are always a safe choice, but I find the more unique a pair, the more your outfit is saying something. Go for the razzle-dazzle!
Handbags
A fun bag can add punch when needed. Textures are fun to play with in the summer when it comes to bags, since wear textures this time of year can get uncomfortable. Some popular bags I have seen around are woven, basket, and crochet.

Sneakers
The trick here is to go for a style that has a cool color way, or has some type of pattern to them, heck even some sparkle. The sneakers don’t have to match the rest of the outfit, they can be a bold choice that creates this sort of tension in the look. This is a fun way to test out the wrong shoe theory.
Sandals
I don’t know about you, but when it is hot outside, the idea of wearing anything that covers my feet instantly makes me sweat. This is where the cool sandal comes into play. Much like the sneaker idea, the sandal can be a bold fashion choice either in color, texture, platform, you get the gist.
