Springtime is almost here, and with that comes sunnier days, warmer temps, and a new fashion season. You want to wear your spring dresses, but it’s still cold outside. Those adorable open-toe sandals are ready to come out to play, but it’s not quite time yet. So what the heck do you wear? Below are the 4 ways to inject some springtime vibes into your look that are still weather appropriate, starting with the most obvious.
Play with your accessories
Time to pull out your spring goods from storage and see what you can do. Here are a few ideas:
- throw on some cute socks underneath those open-toe clogs
- hair jewelry can be très chic and very springtime appropriate
- tie a colorful scarf in an interesting way to your everyday bag

Focus on color
As we all are aware, neutrals, blacks, browns, and maybeee a jewel tone win the fashion game during winter. But, this is the perfect time to inject some pops of color here and there. A few ways to do this is to…
- pair a new color with some neutrals
- add a fun colored scarf to the mix
- try out the colored tights trend
Introduce some new textures
Much like with color, we begin to see a new variety of textures come alive during this time. Try:
- throwing on some raffia textured earrings
- layer your silk button-up blouse underneath your chunky knit sweater for some interesting outfit juxtaposition
Play with proportions
This gets more fun as the temps being to increase.
- mix a short hemline with a tall boot
- elongating those hemlines now that they won’t get wet in the rain
If you take away anything from this blog post, let it be this: Now is the time to mix and match! Pair your chunky sweater with that satin skirt. Start color blocking to your heart's delight. From experience, this is when the best outfits come together.
