We’re aware that February is well ahead of actual Spring. Although we frequently get a brief respite from winter in both January and February, we know that winter is not done with us. There will still be weeks (ok, months) of rain, and it won’t be short sleeve-no jacket season for months. But Portland resale shoppers are ready to “spring ahead” into more color and lighter weight clothing, even if we only get a few days to wear it in the next month.
The retail clock runs fast! Most major department stores and national shops shift into Spring mode in January, and into fall season in July. We’ve always hated to start taking upcoming season women’s clothing consignments quite that early, but we do need to start clearing out in anticipation of actual Spring! The best resale shops set their own schedules, but we try to follow pretty close behind traditional retail.
