Hi, hey hey,
Before we write off a piece of clothing because it contains polyester, can we all take a collective breath?
Yes, synthetic fabrics can be tricky. Polyester is overproduced, overconsumed, and often difficult to recycle, especially when mixed with other fibers. Not exactly winning any gold stars. But sometimes, synthetics have a job to do.
Maybe it helps a jacket hold its shape. Maybe it gives your favorite jeans some stretch. So, instead of saying hell no to polyester, we gotta ask ourselves why it's there in the first place.
Here is the ultimate wardrobe question:
Does this actually work for my life?
Can you style it with what you already own? Will you wear it more than 7 times?
These are the little questions that make slow shopping work.
And once you own it, show it some love. Wash cold, spot clean when possible, and air dry. Your clothes will thank you.
The goal is not a perfect wardrobe full of perfect fabrics. It is a wardrobe filled with pieces you actually wear, care for, and keep around.
So before you toss something aside, take another look.
TTFN,
Dre
