If not, the same goes to you and please please please do some closet cleaning and bring us in some items to consign. We are always eager to improve our size inclusive options. 

The times I have gone shopping with my sister have been disappointing to say the least. Either there was nothing in the size range we needed which left us walking around the shoe aisles or the curvy clothing was relegated to the backmost part of the shop as if they were hiding that section. It truly sucks. And that is why at HWGA, we have made the conscious effort to not create the same types of environments. It is one of our top values to create a comfortable and fun surrounding that can be enjoyed by anyone. 

Whenever a consignor comes in with trendy extended size clothing, we get excited to be able to offer a selection of cute clothing to a demographic of the population that often gets ignored. While the intention has always been there, the reality is a different story. In Portland resale consignment two things need to happen: there needs to be a consistent selection and then there needs to be a demand.

From my experience when it came to plus size clothing, it was either feast or famine. It’s disappointing when a consignor comes in with loads of cute clothing and then at the end of the 2 month consignment period we end up returning way more than we would have liked because there wasn’t much of a demand. On the other side of the coin, it is equally disappointing to only offer a small collection of curvy clothing. 

So this is our announcement as well as a call for your help! Help us spread the word that we carry plus size clothing in Portland so that we can get in more shoppers and to bring in women’s clothing to sell so that we can continue to have a cute rotating selection all year-round.
