Winter Color Trends: A Peek of Our Faves

It’s no secret that we in the women’s consignment clothing biz (likely men’s as well!) love clothes, following fashion trends and adore designer runway photo galleries. Every season, we swoon over trends, both new and revised. Here are a few of our favorites from this winter season!Camel

The warmth of camel tones add heat to the chilliest of months in winter. Camel is the ultimate classic, a universal color for wool coats from one decade to the next. The perks of camel accessories? They add some sweetness to a neutral monochrome look, and they make patterns really pop. For a chic look, pair camel ankle boots with winter white pants and a fitted creamy cashmere sweater. For a 70s-inspired look that’ll make onlookers melt like caramel, pair tall camel boots with a Missoni midi skirt in wild colors.

Marsala

Marsala continues to wow the runways of the street style world. A transition from the ever-popular oxblood tones on runways in years past, marsala is a refreshing update to the intensity of deep burgundy. Pair with warm camel tones for a brightened winter look (can you blame me that I’m thinking of cranberry sauce and homemade gravy right now?)—-or throw a marsala shawl over black leather leggings to show your edgier side this holiday season.

Soft Greys

A few seasons ago, infamous fashion photographer Bill Cunningham took to the streets of New York for a candid portrait of the city. Documenting the trends of NYC street style, he narrated a short video compilation of the latest look: monochromatic soft grey ensembles. In place of an #allblackeverything look, there was a certain air of romance to grey. Even against the grey of winter weather, the softness of silvers adds a hint of the delicate. Pair with blush pinks for a pretty look, or drape a dramatic marsala scarf for a burst of brightness.

Midnight Blue

Midnight blue is one part mysterious, countless parts glamourous. A subtle alternative to black, deep navies look exquisite with jewel tones, silver metallics, cranberry and emerald. Rebel from the Little Black Dress with extra drama by sporting an unexpected navy ensemble.

She has employed some pretty remarkable women over the years and is grateful for all they've done to help grow Here We Go Again. She is a Hoosier by birth, but was raised in Nebraska. She has two sisters who continue to run the consignment store there, and one brother who has sense enough to stay out of the way. Her husband of twenty-seven years, is a land use planner and the fix-anything-guru that Chris relies upon more often than she'd like.
