Who Loves A $3 Sale? Everyone!

Part of our culture at Here We Go Again is engaging with our community. The $3 Sale, which we hold 3-4X a year, is one of our favorite ways to do just that! We select a small local not-for-profit organization where we know the money we raise at the sale will make a big impact on their ability to fund their activities. The proceeds of the sale goes entirely to the non-profit.

Woman-Owned, Woman-Powered

As a woman-owned business, we especially love helping organizations that empower girls and women. This October, we are proud to announce that our $3 Sale will benefit Breast Friends, an organization near and dear to our hearts (literally AND figuratively!) Breast Friends is a support organization, but so much more than that. They provide information, transportation, support, love, tears, hugs and hats to those diagnosed with any form of cancer, but also to their families and loved ones. Many women don’t know where to turn when they’re given such devastating news, and Breast Friends is there with tissues, empowering information and an open heart. If you’d like to learn more, support them see what they do up close, their luncheon is Saturday October 12th. Here is a link to learn more or register.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Our timing is not accidental. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. You may or may not know that 2019 is Chris’s 11-year anniversary of completing her treatment for breast cancer. Life after cancer continues, but it becomes a “new normal.” We urge women (and men!) to do monthly self-exams. They really are life-saving!

The Deets

So, here’s how our $3 Sale works,  if you haven’t attended previously: At our Johns Landing shop, we clear out the center of our shoe room, fill it with rolling racks and PACK THEM FULL of great clothing, all for only $3 each. The racks are divided by size, to make it a bit easier to shop, but it’s a bit of mayhem and madness and a ton of fun for everyone.

Saturday, October 19th

Be there! Be there early if you want the best selection, but honestly? Even later in the day, there is still  amazing stuff to be had for three bucks. We will open promptly at 10am, and the sale is ONE DAY ONLY, so don’t miss it!

Since we started our $3 sales a few years back, we’ve raised over $5000 for small local non-profits. It makes a huge difference in their budgets, and you score some great clothes in the bargain! See you there!

Author: Chris Gauger

Chris is a self-confessed resale fashionista. A fashion recycler from an early age, she learned the consignment business from her mother, Jan Gauger, at omt divine resale in Lincoln, Nebraska. Chris moved to Portland, Oregon in 1990 and immediately felt at home, among her people. She started Here We Go Again Deluxe Resale Boutique in 1992 and has never looked back. The second location of her store opened in 1997. Chris loves pretty much everything about clothes and fashion, but she has a serious boot and shoe addiction that is fed by the two stores. It's doubtful she will ever be recovered. In addition to clothes, Chris loves mentoring young women and teaching them about what it takes to run and manage a small business. She has employed some pretty remarkable women over the years and is grateful for all they've done to help grow Here We Go Again. She is a Hoosier by birth, but was raised in Nebraska. She has two sisters who continue to run the consignment store there, and one brother who has sense enough to stay out of the way. Her husband of twenty-seven years, is a land use planner and the fix-anything-guru that Chris relies upon more often than she'd like.
