Green print Moulinette Soeurs dress Brand: Moulinette Soeurs (Anthropologie)

Size: 6

Color: Green, blue, gold and black

Wearing Suggestions: Once again, Anthropologie reads our minds with a lovely little Moulinette Soeurs dress for work. We love the fun, mixed print- part geometric mosaic, part swirls and flowers. The elbow-length sleeves cover the upper arm (in case that’s a work requirement) but make it more fun by adding a drawstring keyhole at the bottom. The neckline is detailed with a bound edge and U-shape scoop, potentially a bit low for work. Nevertheless, we believe that the dress would be quite serviceable with a camisole. This dress would also be quite suitable for a work event, or for a presentation. The color is arresting and the print demands attention!

Our absolute favorite features of this Moulinette Soeurs dress are the adorable buttons. They’re made of wood, with extra drill holes. To accentuate the color, green thread is stitched through all the holes, creating a fun connect-the-dots pattern. It’s the details that make a garment interesting, and Anthropologie has doubled down on this dress by adding a different button at the waist. While we can’t get inside the designers’ heads to know what they had in mind, the contrasting button at the waist appears to be printed with a tiny Dala horse. We cannot explain why. With a French name label, it seems more appropriate to have a tiny Eiffel Tower, but who cares? It’s adorable and cross-cultural! Besides, we have a thing for Swedish style. The waistline is lightly elasticized, and there are pockets on either side just below.
