Our First $3 Sale of 2020 – for Rahab’s Sisters

January 25th –

Mark your calendar NOW for our first $3 Sale of 2020! We love the $3 Sale, and we KNOW you do too!

What’s not to love?

Hundreds of great clothing finds for three bucks a pop, and our biggest charity fundraiser event. The proceeds always go to a small LOCAL not-for-profit organization.

Our beneficiary

This time, we’ve partnered up with Rahab’s Sisters to support their mission of helping women marginalized by circumstances. Through their “radical hospitality” they assist women who’ve been marginalized, or are living lives of deprivation due to a multitude of problems such as poverty, substance abuse, sex work or domestic violence.

We are thrilled to be raising money for their worthy and necessary cause. Sadly, there are so many worthy causes that need assistance. Here We Go Again is dedicated to aiding those small, local not-for-profits where our comparatively modest donations can make a huge difference. There are many, many terrific organizations that serve a need.  However, at Here We Go Again deluxe resale boutique, we believe we can make the biggest impact with our donations to groups that have the smallest budgets. We especially love to work with organizations that endeavor to increase opportunity or better the lives of women and children.

If you’ve been to one of our previous $3 Sales, you already know, we’ve raised money for a variety of local groups. Some of them include: Breast Friends, a cancer advocacy and support organization; Tinker Camp, a STEM-focused hands-on learning program for kids; Mainspring Portland, Rock and Roll Camp for Girls, and others.

This $3 Sale event will be our eighth such event. We’re proud to share that this charity fundraiser  event has raised well over $6,000.00 for local groups. Each $3 Sale has been bigger than the one before, as word spreads about the great deals to be had, AND the wonderful organizations it benefits.

Want to help more?

On the day of the sale, we’ll also be collecting donations of feminine hygiene products, so we encourage you to bring a box or two of tampons or pads to donate.

We sincerely hope you’ll join us for the next one – January 25, 2020! The $3 Sale is traditionally held on a Saturday, and at our larger shop in Johns Landing, at 0511 SW Carolina Street.

Help us make this event the biggest and best one yet!

p.s. If you have clothing you’d like to donate towards the $3 Sale, you can drop it off at either of our shop locations, both open 7 days!

Chris is a self-confessed resale fashionista. A fashion recycler from an early age, she learned the consignment business from her mother, Jan Gauger, at omt divine resale in Lincoln, Nebraska. Chris moved to Portland, Oregon in 1990 and immediately felt at home, among her people. She started Here We Go Again Deluxe Resale Boutique in 1992 and has never looked back. The second location of her store opened in 1997. Chris loves pretty much everything about clothes and fashion, but she has a serious boot and shoe addiction that is fed by the two stores. It's doubtful she will ever be recovered. In addition to clothes, Chris loves mentoring young women and teaching them about what it takes to run and manage a small business. She has employed some pretty remarkable women over the years and is grateful for all they've done to help grow Here We Go Again. She is a Hoosier by birth, but was raised in Nebraska. She has two sisters who continue to run the consignment store there, and one brother who has sense enough to stay out of the way. Her husband of twenty-seven years, is a land use planner and the fix-anything-guru that Chris relies upon more often than she'd like.
