Finding the Shoe That Fits: We have your size!

We all have a favorite thing to shop for, or a least favorite, perhaps. Being fortunate enough to have a middle-of-the-road shoe size, I’ve never had issues finding shoes to complete my outfit of the day.

I never knew, until working in retail, that some women have come to hate shoe shopping because they simply can’t find their size!

At HWGA, a certain few boutique ambassadors feel your pain! A few of our ladies have feet that typically could fit into children’s shoes. And at the other end of the spectrum, we have the ladies sporting the larger sizes. So, we understand – finding the shoe that fits is a challenge, and one we relish!

Having an array of women of all sizes shopping our consignment boutique, we do come across some happy feet (and happy consignment shoppers) when we get some smaller or larger shoe sizes.

Here are a few picks from our Broadway location that not only fit the foot, but are also from some great designer brands to boot (pun intended!)

Below are a pair of Diane von Furstenberg black pebbled leather boots, nearly new and with a cool moto style buckle.

These Oscar de la Renta retro slingback pumps are the cutest to pair with a spring outfit, also newly consigned and barely worn.

And for the other end of the size spectrum, we have our larger sizes. These grey pumps, made by Born can be a staple to a classic look, giving just enough heel to keep a lady feeling fabulous.

Bourne, size 11

Our other fine pair shown below are by the beloved Eileen Fisher. Comfy, as all of her garments are, and stylish to fit almost any style.

Inspired yet to go shoe shopping? Ok, if you’re not, but feel free to give us a call to ask about your favorite brands.  We do take in new consignments every day! We do both size and brand wish listing! Give us a call, or email us to let us know your size and brand or type of shoe you’re looking for, and we contact you when we get something that matches. Think of it as getting “dibs”.

Chris is a self-confessed resale fashionista. A fashion recycler from an early age, she learned the consignment business from her mother, Jan Gauger, at omt divine resale in Lincoln, Nebraska. Chris moved to Portland, Oregon in 1990 and immediately felt at home, among her people. She started Here We Go Again Deluxe Resale Boutique in 1992 and has never looked back. The second location of her store opened in 1997. Chris loves pretty much everything about clothes and fashion, but she has a serious boot and shoe addiction that is fed by the two stores. It's doubtful she will ever be recovered. In addition to clothes, Chris loves mentoring young women and teaching them about what it takes to run and manage a small business. She has employed some pretty remarkable women over the years and is grateful for all they've done to help grow Here We Go Again. She is a Hoosier by birth, but was raised in Nebraska. She has two sisters who continue to run the consignment store there, and one brother who has sense enough to stay out of the way. Her husband of twenty-seven years, is a land use planner and the fix-anything-guru that Chris relies upon more often than she'd like.
