Amanda:
Amanda is our Manager at the NE Broadway store. She originally
hails from New England and grew up in both Massachusetts
and New Hampshire. She is one of our tour-de-force display
creators, and relishes every opportunity to put together
an entire outfit for one of our shoppers. She loves working
at HWGA because she can dream and find inspiration from
our fashionably wonderful customers and consignors. Unusual
for a New Englander, she loves her spicy food and is frequently
seen at various burrito carts in Portland getting her
fix. Her idea of a perfect day would be sunny, with sweets
for breakfast and a day to spend outdoors, taking advantage
of hiking in Forest Park, capped with an evening filled
with music and friends! Amanda may be wiry, but don't
mess with her, she studies Shaolin Kung Fu! |

Anna:
Born on the East Coast, Anna has spent time living in
the midwest (Indiana and Chicago), Austria and Germany;
and moved to Portland in 1999. Style and fashion are totally
different things, Anna’s discovered over the years.
She likes to create her own style inspired by history,
European street style, Italian designers like Roberto
Cavalli and by making her own jewelry. Anna loves to visit
live music venues and stays active with both yoga and
belly dance, which allow her to indulge her passion for
the stuffed peppers from Omama Restaurant. Her many friends
value her ability to immediately identify the essence
of a situation and act accordingly. You could read more
about Anna and her friends on her blog--except she doesn't
have one! Anna has never owned a car. |

Ariel:
Ariel's a home-state Oregonian--born and raised in Corvallis.
She's recently moved to Portland to attend college,
where she's trying on many different subjects, to find
a major that fits her perfectly (just like that elusive
pair of jeans!) She loves to read fashion blogs at all
points in the spectrum, counting among her fashion icons
both Audrey Hepburn, for classic timeless looks, to
Kate Lanphear for punk influence. She loves candy, and
will happily munch down any in sight (it is her favorite
food!) Ariel's friends value her candor, ability to
empathize and her excellent listening skills. Ariel
harbors a secret fascination for French heritage and
likes to fantasize about what she'd be like if she'd
been "née en France!" |

CaMicha:
CaMicha does know the way to San Jose, 'cuz that's where
she's from! She admires and emulates Jackie O.--her
role model, but with CaMicha's own personal twist applied.
She's passionate about dance and all things dance-related.
In her life outside HWGA, she also dances professionally.
She loves sushi and her two awesome cats. (Coincidence?
We think not!) She'd like to add that she also loves
ANYTHING that her mom makes her to eat. Her leisure
time is spent dancing, having coffee with her friends,
shopping (see a trend here?) or watching movies.
Her deepest, darkest secret is that she loves to play
"pretend rock star" when she's getting ready
in the morning, although, of course now, it's no longer
a secret! Also, she's weirdly obsessed with her chapstick
and cannot even think of living without it!
CaMicha joins us after the careful tutelage of Nancy
Kneisel, owner of Second Glance in Corvallis and a close
personal friend of Chris's, so she's a seasoned resale
pro and has hit the ground running. |

Chris:
Born and raised in Nebraska (how midwest can you get?)
Chris moved to Portland in 1990 with her adored husband
and cats. She lives in Southeast Portland and since relocating
to the west coast, finally feels that she's with her people.
She is a mad, impetuous gardener and a complete leaf freak.
HWGA is family to her and she's made dear friends with
many customers, vendors and staff members. She's truly
grateful for the warmth and good wishes she receives from
customers and consignors. Chris wants HWGA to continue
to grow and evolve, and finds it a delightful challenge
to reinvent her business each day. |

Denise:
Denise comes to Here We Go Again with a background in
clothing design and production—she has her own line
of clothing and accessories! She draws her inspiration
from such diverse sources as Betsey Johnson, Alexander
McQueen, David Bowie and Star Trek. (Denise claims to
be a Trekkie trapped in a fashionista’s body!) She
loves designers who are willing to take fashion to the
limit and aren’t afraid to ask “What if?”
Denise loves dark chocolate, art and the creative process;
(not necessarily in that order!) and clothing is her favorite
medium for self-expression. When she was younger, her
fantasy job was to design costumes for the Star Trek series
and movies. Sci-fi fantasy and comic books are her secret
passion. She adores movies like The Labyrinth with sci-fi
themes, crazy costumes, sparkles and great musical numbers.
What’s not to like? |

Melanie:
Melanie joins us from our local Broadway neighborhood--You
may recognize her from Costello's Travel Cafe where she
also works. (Busy girl!) She came to Portland from Massachusetts
over two years ago to visit a friend and never left. She
looks Irish, but surprise--she's
not! Her family heritage on both sides is from the Azorean
Islands of Portugal. She does admit to pretending to be
Irish on St. Patrick's Day (but admit it, so have we all!)
Melanie's tastes are classical in nature, she adores the
enduring style of Coco Chanel, enjoys ballroom dance and
exploring the greater Portland environs. Oh, and if you're
bringing her lunch, she loves Thai food!!! |

Micalah:
Micalah's a southerner--she's from Medford! She loves
to see how regular people on the street put together their
own fashion "look" and draws inspiration for
her own style from that eclectic mix. Audrey Hepburn and
Sex in the City are other influences to what's in her
closet. She still likes to play "dress-up" when
nobody's around! In her free time, she also enjoys photography
and going out for coffee with her friends. They enjoy
her open-mindedness, patience and good listening skills
(plus it doesn't hurt that she likes to bake! ) Her fave-rave
food is raspberries! Micalah's a student in graphic design
and plans to someday pursue a career in commercial design.

Stephanie:
Stephanie has lived in a variety of places. She grew
up in Upstate New York, relocating to Boston to attend
Northeastern University, where she earned her BA in
Marketing. In her senior year, she studied abroad on
the Gold Coast of Australia. In the midst of the Great
Barrier Reef, rain forests, beaches, and fascinating
cities, she fell in love with film photography.
After graduation, on a whim, she moved to Bozeman, Montana,
where she found perfect ski conditions and started rock
climbing... but she feels she has finally found her
place in Portland! The lush environment is just the
place for her green thumb to garden. She is also so
excited to have so much interesting live music right
at her fingertips, and hopes to find an outlet to sing
some of her own. Of course, her greatest passion is
for fashion! Stephanie loves designers that use eclectic
textures, like Rodarte, Lela Rose, Mulberry, and Vera
Wang.

V:
V, (yes, just the letter V!) has an actual name, which
while common in her native Hungary, is a bit trickier
for Americans to pronounce, so she lets us off easy
by just abbreviating to the first letter. V and HWGA
discovered each other some number of years ago when
she came to us to buy her wedding gown-- It was love
at first sight for both of us. After her wedding she
asked about a job and has been delighting customers
with her fabulous customer service skills and charming
accent ever since. V now has a bi-lingual toddler at
home and is well-known in our back room for her amazing
Hungarian dessert-making talents. She loves pink! |
